Like a grim eagle upon it's nest, the great black block of Tannia Castle looks down upon the city of the same name. Despite the fact that some of those brought within it's walls never come out again, the castle is still looked upon well by most of the city's inhabitants, a place of protection rather then a place of terror.

Not every sword robbed from a tomb, picked up on the battlefield or brought in some out of the way shop is going to be a Master Sword of wonder. Whilst there may be times and places where it is perfectly legally acceptable to swing a sword around and other such weapons, at many times in history weapons have either been limited to the nobility only (as in the Japan of the Tokugawa Shoguns) or outright banned for almost everybody (as in most Western countries today.) Even in more weapon-friendly fantasy worlds, there may be times and places where weapons are banned for most people (such as at the court of a noble, or in certain taverns whose owners really don't want sword fights in their establishment.) With this is mind, here are 30+ items that can be used as weapons.

So the PCs need the help of the ruler/s do they? It makes a big difference depending on what kind of rulers they are appealing to. What works well in one case may not work well in another.

The actions of PCs can often land them in court, and having a good lawyer to represent them can mean the difference between freedom and a death sentence.
